Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Paul Ferak will speak on the conference panel titled, “Supreme Court Review:  The Blockbuster 2015-2016 Term for Class Action Litigation Including Campbell-Ewald Co., Spokeo and Tyson,” to be held at 11:35 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26. The program will cover timely topics relating to how the outcome of these three cases will impact class action litigation going forward, including:  Campbell-Ewald:  whether a plaintiff lacks standing to assert a claim after he receives an offer of judgment providing him with complete relief; Spokeo: whether a consumer has “standing” to assert a cause of action for statutory damages without having suffered actual damage; and Tyson:  whether a class may be certified that contains hundreds of members who were not injured and have no legal right to damages.

According to the conference website, the ACI conference is geared toward providing this knowledge to consumer financial services companies, which are are facing unprecedented regulatory and enforcement scrutiny and mounting litigation.
